West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen is back on Newcastle’s wanted list – three years after almost joining the Magpies.
Toon boss Eddie Howe has been a long-term admirer of Bowen, who will almost certainly leave the London Stadium if West Ham are relegated from the Premier League.
Newcastle were interested in signing Bowen from Hull when Steve Bruce was manager but could not match the £18million West Ham paid for him.
England international Bowen has not been the force this season he was last but has still scored 10 goals in 39 games in all competitions.
West Ham will be reluctant to sell Bowen if they stay up, with Arsenal target Declan Rice pushing for a summer move.
Auba and out for Chelsea striker
It is unlikely that Frank Lampard’s return to Chelsea will offer forgotten man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a route back into the fold.
Aubameyang has not featured for Chelsea since playing the final seven minutes of the 2-0 defeat at Tottenham on February 26.
The Gabon international was also a shock omission from the Blues’ squad for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Aubameyang’s camp maintain the former Arsenal man has not caused any issues behind the scenes and there is a suspicion his exile is down to the fact he is seen as Thomas Tuchel’s man.
Tuchel managed Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund but was sacked one game after signing him for Chelsea.
Axed Potter to have pick of clubs
Graham Potter will find himself one of the most sought-after managers when he decides to return to work at the end of the season.
Potter is taking a short break following his sacking from Chelsea, but his ill-fated and short-lived Stamford Bridge reign does not seem to have tarnished his reputation too much.
Leicester sounded out Potter about their vacancy within minutes of his Chelsea departure being announced and he remains high on their list of targets.
Crystal Palace would also be keen to speak with Potter despite his connections with arch-rivals Brighton.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy tried to prise Potter away from the Seagulls when he fired Nuno Espirito Santo and remains a fan of his work.
Sanchez could leave Seagulls
Brighton could be open to offers for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
Sanchez has lost his place as the Seagulls’ Premier League number one to Jason Steele, although Roberto De Zerbi has already told the Spaniard he will start the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United.
There has been no fallout between Sanchez and De Zerbi, but Brighton will not stand in his way if he is offered first-team football elsewhere, providing they can net a significant fee.
Tottenham and Chelsea have both shown interest in the 25-year-old Sanchez in the recent past.
