Bowen found the back of the net in the 34th and 41st minute to send David Moyes’ men into a healthy lead going into the break.
His first came from close range after Kurt Zouma’s flick fell to his feet, and despite there being a hint of offside, the goal was allowed to stand.
And he instantly grabbed the ball before putting it under his shirt where he was mobbed by his jubilant teammates.
Things got even better for the ex-Hull man moments later after he beat Jordan Pickford for a second time after getting on the end of Michail Antonio’s cross.
It sparked an almost party atmosphere inside the stadium, with the Hammers without a top-flight win since October heading into the match.
