Liverpool could face the difficult task of replacing Sadio Mane before the start of the new Premier League season.
The 30-year-old forward has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks with Bayern Munich leading the chase to secure his signature.
Reports have suggested the Senegalese star is finally set to end his time at Anfield, with a fee of £25million currently mooted.
And this may be accelerated with Robert Lewandowski engineering an exit from the Bundesliga behemoths.
Speaking to the press while on duty with Poland, he said: “My era at Bayern is over.
“I don’t see any possibility to continue playing for this club anymore.
“Bayern’s a serious club and I believe they won’t keep me, I don’t want to play there anymore.
“A transfer is the best solution. I hope they don’t stop me.”

Should Mane leave the club, Jurgen Klopp will need to bring in a replacement.
That’s no mean feat given he’s scored 120 goals in 269 games over his six-year spell with the club.
January signing Luis Diaz has already shown that he’s capable of being a big player for Liverpool next term, but who else could be targeted as a potential replacement to bolster their squad?
talkSPORT.com takes a look at some of the options around.
Jarrod Bowen
The West Ham star must surely be on the radar of the Premier League’s top clubs.
Bowen notched an impressive 18 goals and 13 assists for West Ham this term, earning him his first ever England call-up.
A prolific work horse who plays off the right flank, Bowen’s arrival has the potential to shake things up in the frontline.
Darwin Nunez
The Uruguayan is one of the most exciting young forwards in Europe at the moment.
The 22-year-old scored a staggering 34 goals for Benfica this term, leading to intense speculation over a move to Manchester United.
Comfortable playing up top or from the left flank, Nunez would undoubtedly be a top contender to join the Reds.
Klopp even praised the player when Liverpool took on the Portuguese club in the Champions League.
“Extremely good looking boy, huh?” Klopp joked ahead of the second leg of the tie.
“And a decent player as well,” he added. “Really good, really good. I knew before, of course, but he played pretty much in front of me with his tough battles with Ibrahima Konate.
“He was physically strong, quick, was calm around his finish. Good, really good. I always say in these situations if he is healthy, it’s a big career ahead of him.”
Heung-Min Son
Admittedly a move that’s unlikely to happen, but an interesting link nonetheless.
Reports from the Football.London suggested Liverpool were preparing an offer for the Tottenham star before they wrapped up a top four finish this term.
With 24 goals to his name it doesn’t take a genius to work out why Klopp might be keen, but it does seem highly unlikely that this is a move that would come to fruition now.
Imagine if it did though…
Christopher Nkunku
Another player who is attracting the interest of the biggest clubs in world football after a stellar season.
A tally of 35 goals and 20 assists for RB Leipzig in 2021/22 is enough to make anyone stand up and take notice and that’s exactly what’s happened with the 24-year-old.
His former club Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester United are already keen and if Liverpool have any sense, they’ll be joining the queue as well.
Ousmane Dembele
A player who is available for absolutely nothing this summer, Dembele is catching the eye of several top clubs.
Liverpool were previously interested in the 25-year-old but his career has stalled at the Camp Nou due to injuries and form.
Dembele is likely to command a hefty wage packet, but with no transfer fee needed this is a deal that could be ideal in their hopes of replacing Mane.
The Reds, though, with their high-intensity tactics might not want to risk their money.
