Jarrod Bowen is a major doubt for West Ham’s second leg Europa League tie against Sevilla– but Trevor Sinclair still thinks they can beat their Spanish opponents.
It will be a blow for the Irons if he does miss out but their former player has faith they can overturn the one goal deficit at the London Stadium.
The talented winger sustained a heel injury in the Irons 1-0 defeat to Liverpool on March 5.
Unfortunately for Hammers supporters, the extent of the injury is still unclear, manager David Moyes revealed.
“I have no idea at the moment,” the West Ham boss said when queried about his a possible return for Bowen.
“We’re still trying to clear up exactly the injury.
“In all the scans and information we have it does not look too bad, but his action coming off the pitch at Anfield made it look more serious than we thought. And that has not added up.
“Since then Jarrod is slightly improving but not as fast as we hoped. We did not think it was anything serious. So we are still trying to get to the bottom of it.

“Maybe we’ll get back and Jarrod is OK. It could just be one of those things.”
Speaking on the talkSPORT Breakfast, former West Ham star Trevor Sinclair admitted his old team are missing Bowen.
But he was also hopeful they can book their place into the quarter-finals of the competition.
“Going forward [Michail] Antonio ran in behind and he was a good link up player,” he said.
“I think more than anything they missed Jarrod Bowen with his goals, and his threats, and his directness, and his aggressiveness on the ball.
“He’s got great intensity and I think that was one of the key aspects where West Ham didn’t look as sharp going forward in that final third, but all in all, I thought it was a good performance.”
And Sinclair has called on West Ham stars to create a legacy for themselves in the return leg.
He added: “[Around] 60,000, in the London Stadium, go and make a name for yourself, it is a massive, massive opportunity for any player there.
“If they can do that, and turn that tie around to get through to the quarter-finals of the Europa League, what an absolute carrot that is for the players.
“I’m looking forward to that second leg, I think the lads are going to be up for it, I think the crowd have got to play a part, they’ve got to be as noisy and as supportive as they can, get behind the lads.
“But I think they’ve got a great chance, it’s all to play for at 1-0.”
